No-exam life insurance
Who becomes eligible for expedited underwriting, the process behind it, and what happens if accelerated options aren't available.
Most insurers now feature expedited underwriting: for applicants within set age and amount parameters, they use the application, medication history, driving record and other data sources to make decisions instead of scheduling an exam. Some get approved the same day. This site shows you for each quote whether an exam is required, conditional, or waived.
What it changes
No exam doesn't mean no verification. Underwriting checks your answers, and policies issued based on false information can be challenged within the first two years. Should the carrier's review find something concerning, they may request additional lab work or an exam; you remain free to decline and end the process.
Who tends to qualify
This covers applicants roughly under age 60 seeking amounts within each carrier's fast-track limit, with no significant medical issues and no recent tobacco use. Carriers also accept recent bloodwork from a doctor visit in place of a new exam for some applicants.
When an exam is required, it's usually a 20–30-minute appointment with a paramedical examiner at your home or workplace in Stockton, and there's no charge to you. For applicants in good health, an exam can even lower your rate classification, so it's not always a drawback.
